Since graduating from West High in 1998, Tammy Houser has continued to play soccer whenever she can. She attended Iowa for a while, then decided to join the United States Navy, where, she says, "they'd pay for school and I could still play soccer."

During her training in Illinois, Tammy played on a Navy team. She now is stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, where she married another seaman/soccer player. "His only downfall," Tammy says, "is that he also plays football. We are the happiest we could ever be."

Tammy says that although she wants to continue playing soccer, "the doctors don't like the idea of a blunt object flying at an expectant mother.

"It was a wonderful surprise hearing from the club again," she adds. "Can't tell you how many memories that envelope brought back to me."
